Synopsis du film Hellbender (2021) : Izzy , 16 ans, souffre d’une maladie rare qui l’a maintenue isolée au sommet d’une montagne avec sa mère toute sa vie. Alors qu’Izzy commence à remettre en question sa maladie, elle repousse son confinement et se lie secrètement d’amitié avec Amber , une autre fille vivant dans la montagne, mais son nouveau bonheur est déraillé après avoir mangé un ver vivant dans le cadre d’un jeu juvénile et trouve une faim insatiable et violente s’éveillait en elle. Pour comprendre la faim, Izzy doit apprendre les sombres secrets du passé de sa famille et l’ancien pouvoir de sa lignée.
